Venue - Dalmeny Park Country House Hotel
On Saturday night, we had the pleasure of playing at the Wedding of Mr & Mrs McNulty at the glamourous Dalmeny Park Country House Hotel. We arrived at 6:30PM, eager to start setting up, as ever for a Wedding, we weren't able to start setting up until around 7:20PM as they had to usher people to the bar instead of the function hall. We quickly put together our system for an 8PM start. We had a record playing for the first dance "Tiny Dancer - Elton John - then we started afterwards. From the very first song, the dance floor was full - there's not a better feeling than knowing everyone is enjoying your performance and it really seemed that way on Saturday night, the dance floor was busy all the way through to 12PM.
We can't thank the new couple enough for choosing us to play at the Wedding and it was a surprise to us on the Monday morning when the father of the bride sent through this lovely message:
"Hi all, now that things have settled down I just wanted to thank you for the set that you played and the effort that you put in to ensure that everyone had a good time. The band have a great influence upon how a night like that goes and it was clear that everyone loved what you were playing. Once she'd [the bride] secured the booking with you I knew that it would be a great night but you went above and beyond my expectations. Please thank everyone involved for us and we'll hopefully see you all soon. All the best."
It was heartfelt and we all appreciated that. Many times you have to ask people for a testimonial for a service but to receive that out the blue just makes it more special.
Neil came along to document our part in the evening, here are some photo's of the night.
